KidMail.net Software Version 4.01 FAQs

How would my kid be able to use an email address that does not reflect the kidmail.net service, e.g.. kidsname@mysite.net rather than kidsname@kidmail.net?

If your ISP or domain registrar supports forwarding of email, you can simply configure it to autoforward kidsname@mywebsite.net to kidmailname@kidmail.net. You would configure your child's email client to get email from the kidmail.net POP3 server but send mail via your ISP's SMTP server. The side effect is that whitelist/blacklist protection is bypassed (only on outgoing messages).
